Jack Frost

Jack is originally from Shropshire in the west of England, and has lived in the Austin area since 1996. She graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with an Honors Degree in Sport and English, and has a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Loughborough in Leicestershire, UK. She taught Physical Education and English for ten years before joining the fire service in 2001. Jack has been with the Westlake Fire Department since 2005.
Jack is also active in her community as a volunteer; she has been involved in Meals on Wheels-Austin, Colin’s Hope Foundation and Wildlife Rescue, and has served on the board of directors of Keep Austin Beautiful. In addition to being an Explore Austin Mentor, she also volunteers with the Austin Animal Center and the Joyful Horse Project.
When not working or volunteering, Jack dedicates her time to physical fitness – she particularly loves to hike and kayak, enjoys adventure travel with her husband, and hanging out with her two very sweet hairy black dogs.
She values the opportunity to share life experiences and the benefit of embracing the enjoyment of the outdoors – while giving Explorers the room to learn about themselves and their strengths, while giving them the courage to accept and work on areas needing improvement.
