Stephen grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, where as a young boy, he developed a strong work ethic, love for nature and a constant need for physical activity. Throughout the course of his life, Stephen has been an active participant in the service of others, working with the Multiple Sclerosis Services Agency, the Boy Scouts of America and his local community. Stephen was awarded a Bachelors of Science in the School of Human Ecology from The Ohio-State University in 2004. During college Stephen worked a full-time job while being a full-time student, and worked as an associate broker with Morgan Stanley. After college Stephen traveled to Tanzania, Africa where he worked with local community businesses, taught at a local technical school, played with children at the local orphanage as well as cared for AIDS and Malaria patients at the village hospital. Being in Africa sparked his undying love for mountaineering by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. In 2008, Stephen pursed a lifelong goal of being commissioned as an Engineer Officer in the United States Army. During his military service, Stephen graduated from the Engineer Officer Leadership Course, Army Instructor and Small Group Leader Instructor Course, earning the physical fitness award, an Army Achievement medal and two Meritorious Service Medals. While at the rank of Captain, Stephen was selected to attend the Chilean Army Mountain Warfare School in Los Andes, Chile. After six years of faithful service, Stephen returns to the business world as a commercial real state agent for St. Croix Capital Advisors where Stephen is a sales and leasing agent on over 1,000,000 square feet of institutional grade industrial assets. In his free time, Stephen enjoys rock climbing/mountaineering, backpacking, triathlons, tending to his backyard homestead full of chickens and honeybees and playing with his two dogs Sadie and Cash. Stephen has been married for four years to his loving and beautiful wife Jennifer.
