Rocío is a native Austinite and works as the Community Outreach Coordinator at Texas Appleseed, a public justice center that works to change unjust laws and policies. She obtained both a B.S. in Applied Learning & Development and an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction at The University of Texas at Austin. Rocío volunteers her time as a board member of the Women's Community Center of Central Texas, serves on the city's Community Development Commission, and is involved in various local organizing efforts. You can find Rocío reading a book, drinking coffee, watching Netflix, hiking or camping when she's not working for social justice.
