Peter is the Program Manager at Innovations for Peace and Development, and a dual master’s degree candidate studying International Development and Public Health at The University of Texas at Austin. Previously, Peter was the Director of Health Literacy at the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas, where he developed and implemented a successful healthcare consulting business, created patient-empowerment programs for adult literacy learners, and guided investment strategies and policy changes at state and local health departments. Peter earned his B.A. from Lake Forest College in Chicago, where he double-majored in International Relations and Spanish and minored in Business. He is fluent in Spanish and has intermediate French. Internationally, Peter has lived and/or worked in Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, Kenya, Tanzania and Senegal. At home in Austin, Texas, Peter also serves on the planning committee for Hispanic Austin Leadership, a professional leadership program from which he graduated in 2013. In his free time, Peter enjoys hiking, biking, and remodeling his East Austin home.
