JJ is a transplant from a small town in North Texas, where she played club soccer and ran cross country and track. She moved to Austin to attend UT, where she earned a B.S. in Neurobiology. After working a few years in biotechnology, JJ attended the Acton School of Business and earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship. She continues to serve the Acton community as a mentor to graduate students and as a leader of the Alumni Organization. JJ misses playing soccer, but still runs, regularly participating in half and full marathons. She also has a deep love of nature and the great outdoors. JJ developed this love while camping, hiking, and fishing with her family every year in Colorado. She learned many life lessons and skills on those family trips and is grateful for the opportunity to share them with others.
