Favorite outdoor activity:
Swimming in any natural body of water.

What I do in my free time:
Travel. I'm a xenophile and any thing that is foreign to me is something I want to explore and learn about.

Why I want to be a mentor:
When I lived in NYC, I volunteered with a program called Stoked - a mentoring program aligning at risk youth with snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding - and watching the students grow and develop not just board skills but life skills was incredible. I also learning so much from them, they especially helped me let go of fear when facing a wave or a mountain. After I learned about Explore Austin, I wanted to be a part of it. Having learned the love of outdoors late in life, the opportunity to work with young women to share that enthusiasm and build out a vast set of radical skills. I'm thrilled to be a part of this program and work with the kids in my new hometown.
