I own and operate MOVE Austin Fitness.

What is your favorite outdoor activity?
I pretty much enjoy all outdoors, but rock climbing and mountain biking take the cake.

What was an important outdoor adventure you experienced as a middle or high schooler?
In 6th grade, I went on a 1 week camping trip, that was through my middle school, to Camp Grady Spruce. It was the only “summer camp” thing I ever did. I remember being so engaged and excited with everything we did. I didn’t want to go home, the week was not enough. From that moment, I had a passion for adventure and the outdoors!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Spending time with my wife and friends. I also really enjoy Jiujitsu and train as much as I can.

How has an experience with a Mentor impacted your life?
Growing up without a father figure, I have been blessed with many mentors (teachers and coaches), each at different stages in my life. Each one, in their own way, have taught me I can be and do great things and has molded me into the person I am today.

Why did you decide to become a Mentor?
Ultimately, to give back and hopefully impact today's youth as many mentors did for me. I am a true believer that the outdoors can teach us valuable lessons about ourselves and the world around us.
