Mr. Hughes is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. He represents individuals, families, and business owners in matters relating to the management, transfer, and preservation of their assets, including income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax planning, trust and estate administration, and representation before the I.R.S. and federal and state courts. Mr. Hughes’ practice includes the preparation of wills, trusts, business entity organizational documents (including family limited partnerships), shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements, marital property agreements, and other estate planning, asset protection, charitable gift planning and business succession documents. Mr. Hughes has experience in the formation and representation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, not-for-profit corporations, and private foundations. Additionally, he represents beneficiaries and fiduciaries in contested litigation, including estates, trusts, and tax issues.
