7th Grade Trip Itinerary
Day One 07/24/2010:
Arrive to Denver International Airport, travel to OWA Base Camp, Group activities, dinner, camp fire.
Day Two 07/25/2010:
Prepare group equipment, food and pack for backpacking trip, lunch, depart OWA Base Camp, camp at Lost Creek Wilderness.
Day Three 07/26/2010:
Explore ice caves, fly fishing, set up camp in Lost Creek Wilderness.
Day Four 07/27/2010:
Learn map and compass skills, summit McCurdy peak.
Day Five 07/28/2010:
Hike to new camp site, fishing and exploring old mine ruins near McCurdy Peak.
Day Six 07/29/2010:
Rock climbing to a major summit peak in the McCurdy Peak area.
Day Seven 07/30/2010:
Explorers lead each other in hike using previously learned compass and map skills.
Day Eight 07/31/2010:
Explorers lead each other back to OWA Base Camp, clean up equipment, debrief and prepare for departure.
Day Nine 07/31/2010:
Depart OWA Base Camp for Denver International Airport
